Are you looking to reduce stress, manage anxiety, be more productive, focus better or have more energy throughout your day? How about a way to promote healthy states like flow (peak performance), relaxation, ease, gratitude or peace in your day? Meditation is one of the healthiest habits that a person can do each day. It’s like exercise or eating healthy, it’s just something that improves the quality of your life. The habit helps a range of people from those recovering from addiction or going through trauma to high performing athletes or corporate leaders using it to perfect their mastery of skills in careers.
Are you looking to start a meditation practice or go deeper into meditation? Start by attending our 1-hour Facebook live workshop. This workshop helps you set up a daily practice and get you started with (2) 10-minute practice sessions, helping you go deeper into your practice. You can ask questions, overcome barriers or see what others are doing to be successful in their practice. Jump start your practice and get 20 minutes of guided meditation time!
In order to get the benefits of meditation or the skill of mindfulness we must deliberately practice this discipline. Start with a goal, an amount of time that you would like to meditate each week. We are encouraging you to sit and practice for at least 2 minutes a day if you are a beginner and as you grow in your progress, you can move from 2 minutes to 5 minutes and on to 10 minute practice sessions. As you become consistent you can move to 20 minutes and eventually 30 minutes and beyond. First, I recommend that you become consistent with your practice, if your doing 5 minutes try doing that 3-4 days a week for several weeks.
Be part of meditation streaks! Using meditation streaks to help you become a more consistent meditator, you can begin to meditate for several days in a row, creating a winning streak. When getting started, we must get in a habit of practicing and this is the purpose of meditation streaks. How many days can you practice in a row? How many times can you start over after you missed a day? It’s not always about how much time or being perfect but about helping you progress and gain the benefits of meditation.
Another way to make progress in is to be a part of a group where you can help encourage others and establish accountability for your practice. Encourage others to reach their goals and use this as a way to help you progress in your meditation practice. There is something powerful about having a group behind you, of people going through similar challenges and overcoming their adversities. After you start practicing meditation it becomes a lifestyle, a shift in perspective, a way of living that creates purpose, happiness, peace and a sense of something beyond ourselves. We encourage you to take part in our community of like-minded people in Mindfulness and Meditation Group.
